One of the walkers called 999. If you’re heading to the coast: • Always check the weather and tide times • Carry a means of calling for help • If you get into trouble in the water, Float to Live. When Shaddah the black Labrador ran into the sea to fetch a ball, his owner made the right call and contacted the Coastguard. Shaddah fell victim to strong winds and a powerful current, but the Blyth RNLI volunteer crew soon spotted him.
